Vidya Balan is actually from Kerala but she has good fame and craze in Bollywood. At the starting of her career she lost many South Indian movies in Tamil Nadu and Kerala. Actually she had to start her career in 2001. She was selected to pair opposite Mohanlal. But the movie never started.
For many of the Tamil films her name was raised as heroine but she lost the offers to Trisha, Meera Jasmine and Nayanatara. Finally she made her debut with a Bengali film Bhalo Theko. With this movie she got recognition. After two years she appeared in Bollywood for the first time with the film Parineeta.
Next year she featured opposite Sanjay Dutt in block buster film Lage Raho Munna Bhai. Next year she dared to act as a handicaped girl in Guru. This movie became a super hit. In 2007 she appeared two super hits- Bhool Bhulaiyaa and Heyy Babyy.
Recently we saw her in Kismat Konnection and Halla Bol. Now she is featuring in the films Ishqiya and Cheenab Gandhi.
